1. What is Pictofy?

Pictofy is an AI-powered service that generates pictograms for visual schedules, communication, and educational use. The service is operated by Pictofy with contact address support@pictofy.app.

2. Account and credits

You can try Pictofy with one free generation without an account. To generate more pictograms, you need to create an account and purchase credits. Credits never expire and cannot be refunded after use. Unused credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase.

3. Generated pictograms

Pictograms generated with Pictofy belong to you for personal and commercial use. You may use them in visual schedules, educational materials, communication aids, and similar purposes. You may not resell generated pictograms as standalone products or as part of a pictogram library.

Pictograms generated without the character feature (i.e. without your own photo as reference) may be featured in Pictofy's marketing, community gallery, or as examples. Pictograms generated with the character feature will never be used for marketing or shared publicly.

4. Pictogram library

Pictograms in the library are free to download and use for personal and educational purposes. Commercial redistribution of library pictograms is not permitted.

5. Image uploads

When you upload a photo for the character feature, you consent to the image being processed by AI models to generate stylized pictograms. You confirm that you have the right to upload the image. Your uploaded photo is only stored as a character reference for as long as you keep the character — it is not used for any other purpose and is deleted when you remove the character or your account. 6. Prohibited use

You may not use Pictofy to generate illegal, offensive, or harmful content. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that misuse the service.

7. Not a medical or therapeutic device

Pictofy is a creative tool for making pictograms. It is not a medical device, a diagnostic service, or a substitute for professional therapy, teaching, or treatment. Pictograms from Pictofy may be used as a supplement to established visual-support methods (PECS, ARASAAC, Widgit, and others), but clinical judgment and adaptation should be performed by qualified professionals (speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, educators). We make no warranties about therapeutic efficacy.

8. Limitation of liability

Pictofy is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the service is error-free or uninterrupted. Generated images may contain unexpected results. We are not liable for losses caused by use of the service.

9. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are settled by the Danish courts, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
